After recent tensions between Belgrade and Pristina over measures implementing the agreed use of the "Kosovo customs" stamp and in particular introducing it in North of Kosovo, Eduard Kukan, Chair of European Parliament delegation for South East Europe calls on Serbian and Kosovar politician to restrain from escalating further the tensions.

"I appeal to responsible politicians on both sides as well as to the Kosovo Serbs living in northern Kosovo to refrain from any emotional and potentially violent actions. It must be in interest of all to restore rule of law in this part of Kosovo. We all appreciated the responsible manner in which the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade re-started in the beginning of the month and would deeply regret if the achievement was now wasted," said Eduard Kukan.
