Two Months Traineeship Program in my Brussels Office

As for the 2010 traineeship program, all terms are booked already, the nearest deadline for sending in the applications for 2011 will be published on my webpage www.eduardkukan.eu early in the autumn.

 

Who is the traineeship program intended for?

Professional trainneship is intended for graduate and post-graduate students as well as for those who already earned their diploma who wish to gain some practice prior the start of their own career.

It is expected from those interested in traineeship to be highly motivated, to be interested in EU issues, ability to work independently and to be a contribution to depute´s team at the same time. They should be creative,  bright and flexible individuals with a general overview in the policies of the EU able to set thei own priorities. Interested persons besides having advanced level of English language command have to speak another official EU language. Out of campus activities with working in NGOs resp. abroad will be taken into account.

 

What do you need to send in?

  2. Letter of Motivation
  3. Letter of Recommendation

We will react to every request individually keeping the applicants informed via e-mail about the procedure of their request. In final stage Mr. Kukan will choose trainee based on a short interview with the most successful candidates in one of the offices (Brussels, Strasbourg, Bratislava).

 

What is the content of the traineeship?

The trainee will co-operate with the Deputee and his Assistants in the framework of his parliamentary activities, primarily focused on the activities of Mr. Kukan. According to the needs s/he will monitor the correspondence, co-operate in the preparation of the Depuree´s work agenda and perfprm various administrative tasks in the office. The trainees are also offered some space for their own initiatives, time for study and  designing projects oriented on their professional development.

The trainee receives stipend - an amount of  which is sufficiently enough to cover the travel, accommodation and catering expenses in Brussels.
